On March 21st, we are bringing back the open mic series: Who Needs Healing?
We are living in a time where some healing through poetry and art is necessary. This series is about community not platform. This series is organized by these extraordinary humans: Ellen Dotts, Alysia Kayla Van Manen, Julie Bentsen and myself. It will take place at the mighty Staten Island Urban Center, 206, Bay Street, SI, NY. This is a FREE event. Features TBA. RSVP & SupportPlease RSVP using the QR code on the flyer or by emailing [email protected].
A suggested $10 donation will support the ongoing work of the Boricua Legacy Project, helping sustain culturally grounded programming and historical preservation efforts. Whether you’re a lifelong learner, an artist, an educator, or simply someone who believes in the power of community, we hope you’ll join us for this meaningful Black History Month celebration. Come learn, reflect, and celebrate with us. |
Staten Island Urban Center events are born from our foundational vision and continual pursuit of thrivability, cultural equity, self-determination and independence.Archives
