This is a free community event for all ages with planter unveilings, giveaways (yes, free pizza 🍕), snacks, music, and a closing celebration at Snug Harbor.

Hosted by the Staten Island Urban Center, the Urban Roots: A Summer of Growing program is now enrolling youth ages 6–12 for softball and wiffle ball clinics and teams throughout July and August.
This isn’t just about sports — it’s about building teamwork, boosting confidence, and offering young people a safe space to play and grow.

Whether your child is picking up a bat for the first time or looking to improve their skills, this community-based program is a perfect way to stay active and connected this summer.
